“I now introduce the graduating class of 2017!”
The president of the college practically burst from the effort as the screams and cheers drown out what came after. Jason looked around as the caps flew. Searching around, he found his parents in the stands directly to the right of him. Mom beamed as they caught eyes while dad flashed a big smile and a thumbs up. And next to them stood his brother, the faint hint of a grin on his otherwise stone face.
Jason continued sweeping his eyes around the pandemonium before him, the gym practically rocking from the release. But when he looked back, his brother was gone, melted into the sea of humanity.
He couldn’t help but shake his head. Apparently no one could pass up the chance to participate in a graduation ceremony. Even if some had chosen to do it earlier then others.
